À l'espoir, au pouvoir, à une idée.

Les pièges à éviter
1. Clingy (adj péjoratif)
Clingy = collant émotionnellement (péjoratif). A clingy partner = un partenaire envahissant. À éviter comme reproche direct, terme blessant.
2. Cling on
Cling on = continuer à tenir bon. Just cling on a bit longer = tiens bon encore un peu. Différent de cling to + objet.

Cling film, c'est quoi exactement ?+
Cling film (UK) = film alimentaire transparent qui s'accroche aux surfaces. Aux USA : plastic wrap ou Saran wrap (marque devenue nom commun). Sert à emballer la nourriture, conserver au frigo.
Cling to hope, c'est positif ?+
Cling to hope = s'accrocher à l'espoir. Connotation mitigée. Positif : ne pas abandonner malgré tout (admirable). Négatif : refuser d'accepter la réalité (déni). Le contexte clarifie. Aussi : cling to power (s'accrocher au pouvoir, péjoratif).
