Les pièges à éviter
1. Ne pas oublier be
Going to ne s'utilise jamais seul. Il faut toujours am / is / are avant. I going to think est une faute : il faut I am going to think.
2. Going to + infinitif
Après going to, on met l'infinitif sans terminaison. I'm going to think, jamais I'm going to thinking. Le -ing est sur going, pas sur le verbe principal.
3. Going to think vs going + thinking
I'm going to think = futur proche (« je vais penser »). I'm going thinking n'a pas de sens en règle générale. Exception : I'm going swimming (activité avec déplacement implicite).

On utilise am/is/are going to + l'infinitif : I am going to think, she is going to think, they are going to think. Cette structure exprime une intention déjà décidée ou une prédiction basée sur un indice présent.
Quand utiliser be going to think plutôt que will think ?+
Be going to think = intention prévue avant le moment où l'on parle (I'm going to think tomorrow, I've decided). Will think = décision spontanée, promesse, prédiction générale. Be going to insiste sur la planification ou la preuve visible.

Oui, gonna est la prononciation orale et informelle de going to. I'm gonna think = I'm going to think. Très fréquent à l'oral en anglais américain, jamais à l'écrit formel.
