The interactive option. Students take the contest online, within the school.
The alternative for schools that cannot take the whole test online. We give you access to the audio material and to the print version of the test: your students answer on paper, you simply upload their answer sheets.

The contest is open to all schools in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, as well as international schools. A single ranking by level ensures fairness: each student is compared only with participants of the same level.

The PLAY app stays free for everyone, all year round: registration for the Contest unlocks contest mode. Prices incl. VAT, budget funded exclusively by registration fees.
The contest fits easily into the school year. Here are the key steps to know in order to organise it in your school.
At any time, you can request your complete registration pack or create your teacher account. The crucial step is to appoint the coordinator.
Confirm the number of students per level. You do not need to choose the participation option at this stage.
The The Big Challenge PLAY app is free for everyone, all year round. Your registration unlocks contest mode: the past papers in real conditions (timer, official scoring), to prepare for the big day.
Two weeks before the start of the Contest period, make sure everything is ready for the participation option your students will be using.
Prepare access to the contest link and plan the sessions.
Download and print the answer sheets and decide on the participation dates.
The test takes place during one lesson, under supervision, in the participation option you have chosen.
Review your students’ provisional results in your teacher account. If a student had a technical problem, report it and have the student take part again.
Scan the answer sheets completed by your students and upload them to your teacher account. You will be able to review your students’ provisional results once we have marked their papers.
May 28, 2027, we publish the results and send all the prizes to your school.
