Ver a fichaComo usar to think em inglês
1. Dar uma opinião
I think (that) + frase. O that muitas vezes cai.
- I think (that) English is fun. (Acho que o inglês é divertido.)
- What do you think? (O que você acha?)
2. Pensar, refletir (ação em andamento)
Be thinking = estar pensando, refletindo.
- I'm thinking about it. (Estou pensando nisso.)
- Let me think. (Deixe-me pensar.)
- I thought you were French. (Eu achava que você era francês.)
- We thought the test was easy. We were wrong. (Nós achamos que a prova era fácil. Estávamos enganados.)
4. Expressões comuns
- think about / of (pensar em)
- I think so (acho que sim)
- I don't think so (acho que não)
- think twice (pensar duas vezes)
Pegadinhas para evitar
1. Think about ou think of?
Think about = pensar com calma, refletir. Think of = lembrar, ter uma ideia. I'm thinking about my exam = estou pensando na prova. I can't think of his name = não consigo lembrar o nome dele.
2. Thought = Simple Past E particípio passado
O Simple Past e o particípio passado são iguais: thought. I thought (Simple Past) ≠ I have thought (Present Perfect): a mesma palavra, com sentidos diferentes conforme o contexto.
I think English is fun ✓ (opinião). I'm thinking about my homework ✓ (reflexão em andamento, não é opinião).

Perguntas frequentes
Qual é o passado do verbo think?+
A forma certa é thought, nunca thinked.
I think it'll rain (acho que vai chover). I believe in justice (acredito na justiça). É como achar e acreditar em português.
Qual é a diferença entre think about e think of?+
Think about = pensar em algo com calma, refletir. Think of = lembrar, imaginar, ter uma ideia. I'm thinking about my future (estou pensando no meu futuro). I can't think of his name (não consigo lembrar o nome dele). What do you think of this idea?
Diga I think so (acho que sim) e I don't think so (acho que não).
