1. Parlare una lingua
- I speak French and English. (Parlo francese e inglese.)
- Do you speak Spanish? (Parli spagnolo?)
2. Parlare con qualcuno
Speak to / with + persona.
- Can I speak to John? (Posso parlare con John?)
- I spoke with my teacher. (Ho parlato con il mio prof.)
Le trappole da evitare
1. Speak o talk?
L'italiano ha un solo verbo, parlare. Speak è più formale (lingue, contesti ufficiali). Talk è più colloquiale, da conversazione. Per una lingua: speak. Per chiacchierare: talk.
2. Tre forme
Speak → spoke → spoken. Non confondere past simple e participio passato: I spoke ✓, I have spoken ✓, mai I have spoke ❌.

Che differenza c'è tra speak e talk?+
