Objective & content
This documentary episode of Animals & Creatures of Australia presents the wallaby in an A1- script. The narrator compares it with the kangaroo ("A wallaby is much smaller than a kangaroo"), names the brush wallaby, the rock wallaby and the quokka, explains where wallabies live, how a joey grows in its mother's pouch, and what they eat, then ends with the story of wallabies in the Tasmanian poppy fields. The language focus is the present simple, with short comparatives, be and can for description and ability, and animal and physical-description vocabulary (joey, pouch, buck, doe, rock). The skill is listening for facts and comparisons.
