Teaching guide
Objective & content
Fish and Chips are thirsty and make a smoothie side by side: Fish names each ingredient and Chips repeats it. Chips makes a small smoothie; Fish wants a big one, piles the fruit above the blender and ends up covered in it. The episode focuses on six words (apple, banana, orange, pineapple, milk, smoothie), with the "This is..." and "What's this?" frames from the script as the language around them. Pupils listen, point at the pictures and repeat after the characters, and in the closing test they name each item shown in close-up, as Chips does: "Apple!" No reading or writing is involved.
Materials & prerequisites
The folder holds no printable sheets and no lesson plan, so the episode is used on its own (audio and slideshow). No prior English is assumed. A real or picture set of the six items is useful for pointing.
