Teaching guide
Objective & content
On a cold day Fish and Chips each build a snowman. Fish names every part and Chips repeats it; Chips finishes a small snowman, while Fish keeps rolling a bigger and bigger head until it falls on him. The episode focuses on six words (snow, head, eyes, nose, mouth, hat), with "This is..." and "What's this?" as the frames around them. Pupils listen, point at the picture and repeat after the characters, and in the closing test they name each close-up as Chips does: "Head!" No reading or writing is involved.
Materials & prerequisites
The folder holds no printable sheets and no lesson plan, so the episode is used on its own (audio and slideshow). No prior English is assumed. Pupils can point at their own head, eyes, nose and mouth while they repeat.
Curriculum alignment
Tagged c3-child-and-close-environment (cycle 3, 6e). The episode targets CEFR A0-, before A1.
