Teaching guide
Objective & content
In the park Fish offers to walk a dog, then takes one animal after another on a lead, naming each while Chips repeats it. Chips calmly walks her one small dog; Fish ends up in a muddy puddle wrapped in leads. The episode focuses on five animal words (dog, cat, mouse, bird, horse), with "What's this?" and "And this?" as the test frames. Pupils listen, point at each animal and repeat after the characters, and in the closing test they name each animal, as Chips does: "Horse!" No reading or writing is involved.
Materials & prerequisites
The folder holds no printable sheets and no lesson plan, so the episode is used on its own (audio and slideshow). No prior English is assumed.
