Teaching guide
Objective & content
Fish and Chips paint at their easels. Fish names each colour and Chips repeats it; Chips finishes a small, neat picture, while Fish slops more and more paint around until it lands on him. The episode focuses on five colours (red, blue, yellow, green, pink), with "What colour is this?" and "And this?" as the test frames. Pupils listen, point at the colours in the pictures and repeat after the characters, and in the closing test they name each paint patch on Fish, as Chips does: "Blue!" No reading or writing is involved.
Materials & prerequisites
The folder holds no printable sheets and no lesson plan, so the episode is used on its own (audio and slideshow). No prior English is assumed. Coloured objects or crayons in the classroom are useful for pointing.
