Check the results of The Big Challenge contest, recover a code if you have forgotten it and report an anomaly in your students' results.
Checking the results
The results of The Big Challenge contest are available from the date shown on the official website. To check them, go to: results.thebigchallenge.com.
You will need to enter the personal code provided when you registered. Be sure to keep it safe.
💡 Good to know : The results of the 2026-2027 edition will be published on 28 May 2027. Teachers can also check their students' results from their teacher account.
Are there rankings between schools or countries?
There are no rankings between schools or countries. Students receive three types of rankings:
- Ranking within the school.
- Ranking at the departmental or regional level.
- Ranking at the national level.
👉 Why? The aim of The Big Challenge is to help students see where they stand in their immediate environment, not to compare schools or countries.
Requesting a code if you have forgotten it
If you have forgotten your personal code, you can request it back:
1️⃣ Go to the request form. 2️⃣ Fill in the form with the information requested. 3️⃣ Attach a supporting document confirming the student's identity:
- The student's or their parents' identity card
- Passport
- Transport pass
- Certificate of school enrolment
Once the request has been validated, the code will be sent by email as soon as possible.
💡 Tip : Teachers can find their students' codes directly in their teacher account.
How do I report an anomaly in the results?
If you notice an anomaly in a student's results, you can report it directly from your teacher account, in the "Preliminary results" section (online version of the contest). The following reports are available:
| Problem detected | Outcome |
|---|---|
| The student is an English speaker | Ranked outside the competition |
| Score too low | The student can retake the test if eligible |
| Score too high | May be ranked outside the competition |
| Technical problem during the test | The student can retake the test |
| The student was not registered | The result is removed from the list |
| Wrong level taken | The student can retake the test at the right level |
If the student retakes the test, only the new result is taken into account in the final ranking.
