Teaching guide
Objective & content
Max, Mila, Luna and Ben answer one question in turn, and the narrator confirms each age calmly. Pupils hear the fixed question "How old are you?" and the answers "I'm ten." and "I'm eleven.", with the numbers ten and eleven and the reply "Yes." The episode asks for listening and repeating only: no reading or writing is involved. At the end the kids say "Now you say it!" and the class answers aloud with its own age after a pause of about four seconds.
Materials & prerequisites
The episode has no printable sheets and no lesson plan. Pupils need no prior grammar: the question and the answers are taught as fixed chunks (question forms, I'm + number). A way to play the episode with sound is enough.
Curriculum alignment
Cycle 3 (6e), axis "child and close environment" (c3-child-and-close-environment). CEFR level targeted: A0-.
Possible adaptations
- Lower levels: Offer segmented listening and additional visual aids.
- Advanced levels: Encourage an oral summary and a debate in English on the theme.
- Large groups: Organise group work with differentiated roles.
