Teaching guide

Objective & content

Max and Mila greet the narrator and each describe a day in short sentences, for example "Today is Monday." and "It's sunny." Luna and Ben arrive at the end, and the kids invite the class to speak. Pupils then hear six questions in a row (what day, the weather, breakfast, how they go to school, the time, what they do after school) and answer each aloud after a pause. The episode recaps module 2, with question words, the present simple and daily routine vocabulary. It asks for listening and repeating only: no reading or writing is involved.

Materials & prerequisites

The episode has no printable sheets and no lesson plan. Pupils should already have met the short chunks it recaps: days of the week, weather words, breakfast foods, ways of going to school and clock times. A way to play the episode with sound is enough.

Curriculum alignment

Cycle 3 (6e), axis "child and passing time" (c3-child-and-passing-time). CEFR level targeted: A0-.

Possible adaptations

  • Lower levels: Offer segmented listening and additional visual aids.
  • Advanced levels: Encourage an oral summary and a debate in English on the theme.
  • Large groups: Organise group work with differentiated roles.
