Objective & content

Two presenters go back to the map of the two islands and explain that Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom while the Republic of Ireland is independent. They compare the two countries in size and population, then visit Belfast and Giant's Causeway in the north, and Dublin, Irish Gaelic and the Cliffs of Moher in the Republic. The language focus is short comparatives and superlatives ("the smallest", "five times bigger"), present simple and prepositions of place, with country, capital and landmark vocabulary. The script gives the capital cities and several numbers (population, percentages, metres). The skill is listening, then the in-app quiz. Key line: "Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom, but the Republic of Ireland is not."
